Triplay's latest feature enhances its already robust itinerary planning capabilities by focusing on optimizing individual days of your travel. This means that each day of your journey is crafted to minimize travel time between locations, allowing you to immerse yourself more deeply in each destination. Whether you're wandering through ancient cities, exploring lush landscapes, or indulging in local culinary delights, TripTip ensures that your time is spent experiencing the world, not planning the trip.
How It Works
Utilizing advanced geodata analysis, TripTip's new feature evaluates the geographical and logistical aspects of your planned destinations. It then reorganizes your day's schedule in real-time, placing locations in the most logical sequence. This not only reduces travel time but also maximizes your engagement with each location.
For instance, imagine planning a 3-day family trip to Milan. TripTip ensured that you visited the best possible attractions. Here are our original routes:
Day 1: Duomo di Milano, Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, Teatro alla Scala, Pinacoteca di Brera:
Day 2: Leonardo da Vinci Museum of Science and Technology, The Last Supper Museum, Milan Natural History Museum, Muba Children's Museum Milan:
Day 3: Arco della Pace, Parco Sempione, Acquario Civico e Stazione Idrobiologica di Milano, Sforzesco Castle, Chiesa di San Maurizio al Monastero Maggiore:
The Duomo visit is timed perfectly after breakfast near your hotel, followed by a leisurely walk to Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. The second part of the day was allocated to seeing the beautiful building of Teatro alla Scala, ending with a visit to Pinacoteca di Brera. This seamless sequence is achieved without the need for manual adjustments, thanks to TripTip's intelligent algorithms.
Nevertheless, due to obstacles, we were unable to visit Pinacoteca di Brera and had to return to the hotel on Day 1. Now, we were struggling with optimization since the initial TripTip version had only two options: optimize ALL days or optimize only the selected day, which would not be sufficient in this particular case where we had to move the remaining unvisited location from Day 1 to Day 2 or 3 and then re-optimize the trip for the remaining days to find the best routes.
Fortunately, Vallex GmbH developers just released new product functionality that allows us to re-optimize selected days of the trip. This resolved our issue, and we received a new route that includes Pinacoteca di Brera, which we were able to visit on the third day of our trip!
